DAY 1: Arrive Vienna – Your Adventure begins with a private transfer to
Arrive in Vienna and transfer to your hotel in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, set on the banks of the Danube River with a backdrop of the small Carpathian mountains behind. The city now flourishes as one of Europe's most vibrant undiscovered capitals. The day is your's to explore the city on your own. Tonight at approximately 6 pm, meet your fellow travelers and Tour Manager for a welcome introduction about the unique and amazing journey that lies ahead. Afterwards, enjoy a welcome dinner experience. We recommend that you select flights which arrive in your destination no later than 4 pm on this first day of the trip, or earlier if possible

DAY 2: Bratislava
This morning you discover the byways and side streets of Bratislava's historic old town while on a walking excursion. View the elegant pale pink and white Primatial Square, with its Renaissance fountain and the Old Town Hall, dating from the 15th century. Learn about Bratislava’s long and turbulent history, as you stroll through the historic quarter. Continue to Franciscan Square, named after its 18th century Franciscan church and monastery. Pass by Mirbach Palace, a Rococo style residence dating from 1770 that houses permanent exhibitions of the Bratislava City Gallery. Afterward, visit the 15th century St Martin's Cathedral, Bratislava’s grandest church. During the Ottoman occupation of Budapest, the church served as the coronation site for Hungarian kings. Tonight is yours to explore Bratislava's nightlife, perhaps make an excursion to Vienna by catamaran or simply relax at your hotel.
DAY 3: Bratislava to Banska Stiavnica
After breakfast this morning, head east to the historic town of Banska Stiavnica in central Slovakia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town was established in the 13th century, and built its wealth on mining. Evidence of this industrial heritage dates back to the Neolithic period, making it the oldest mining town in Slovakia. Upon arrival, embark on a walking excursion of this striking medieval town, View the Holy Trinity Square, the Gothic style St. Catherine Church, and the impressive Holy Trinity Column, built in gratitude for the retreat of the plague epidemic in the years 1710 – 1711. The afternoon is at leisure with time for you to explore more of the town on your own or perhaps join a biking tour of the country side

DAY 4: Banska Stiavnica to Strbske Pleso, High Tatras
Today, drive northeast to the High Tatras Mountain Range. Along the way and weather permitting, you will stop for an exclusive picnic lunch. Make your choice of fine Slovak wines and fresh locally produced juices, fresh produce and culinary delights sourced from a local farm. Enjoy lounging on the lush green grass while enjoying the expansive views over rolling fields and primal forests. Your destination is the picturesque Strbske Pleso, a village style resort area located on the banks of a glacial lake at the foot of the mountains. After arrival, your tour manager introduces you to the mountains on a short hike or you have time to explore the area at leisure.

DAY 5: High Tatras
A a short drive this morning brings you to the town of Tatranska Lomnica, an attractive resort town located in the heart of the High Tatras. The Tatras consist of 25 peaks often called "the smallest alpine mountains in Europe". Weather permitting, you will board a cable car for the short trip up to the second highest point in Slovakia - Lomnicky Stit at 8641 feet above sea level. Enjoy stunning panoramic views from the observatory atop the mountain while sipping a cup of tea in the shop. In the afternoon, journey to the charming 13th century town of Levoca, along the way making a stop to view Spis Castle. Built in the 12th century, the castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered to be one of the most significant historical monuments of Central Europe. Upon arrival in Levoca, a walking excursion of the historic center will introduce you to charming narrow cobbled streets, old city walls, the Renaissance Town Hall, and striking townhouses built by local nobility in the late Middle Ages. Visit the 14th century Roman Catholic Church of St. James. Its interior features the tallest wooden altar in the world standing at 61 feet high, carved by Master Paul of Levoca. Afterwards, return to Strbske Pleso and enjoy a fine dining experience at your hotel.

DAY 6: High Tatras to Bojnice
Depart Strbske Pleso for the quaint spa town of Bojnice, a local gem nestled in the foothills of Mala Fatra Mountains. Here, visit the Castle of Bojnice, perched on a manicured hill above the town. Some people say it is the inspiration for the fairy-tale castle at Disneyland. Dating from the 12th century, the castle was renovated by a Hungarian noble family with a design reminiscent of the castles of France’s Loire Valley. Light pink sandstone towers and crenellated turrets make this romantic castle the most visited in Slovakia. Tonight, a unique and authentic experience awaits you. Take a short drive outside the town of Bojnice to the small village of Cicmany, a UNESCO site famous for its painted and decorated wooden houses and amazing local food.

DAY 7: Bojnice – Vienna Airport – Your Adventure Ends
This morning you depart Bojnice and say goodbye to the wonderful country of Slovakia. Enjoy a leisurely transfer to Vienna airport for your return flight home. Please note flights should be booked after 1500p on this date unless you have purchased the optional Day in Vienna post-night.

Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in Vienna. Tonight, perhaps take the opportunity to attend an evening of Viennese culture in the "City of Music" at an optional concert performance of the classical masterpieces of Mozart and Strauss, two of Austria's most famous composers. Or you can join an introductory cooking class where you will learn the art of making Viennese Schnitzel and the famous Strudel!
